I know that there is
something
that's meant for me somewhere.
I don't know what,
I don't know where and when;
But I do know
that I shall find it soon,
and then I'll know
the what, the where and when.
I know that there is someone
waiting for me somewhere.
I don't know who,
I don't know where and when;
But I do know
that I shall meet her soon,
and then I'll know
her ilk, and where and when.

~Artist’s Profile~
My long and exciting life is nearing its end.
Soon I shall bid farewell to all this. To all and sundry.
A tutti ed a ciascuno. Tae ane and au’.
But at the close of my day, there is still a thrilling experience to be
lived.
A bonny lass will come, kiss me fondly and deeply as no other woman ever
kissed me, and take me away with her in the land of nowhere.
The land I’ve come from so many years ago, where gladly I’ll go back to
lay doon and rest.
Name: Cesare A. DeSilvestri-Camster City and State: Rome, Italy
Born in 1926 of Tuscan and Scottish parents, he was 17 when WWII was
nearing its end. Called to arms by Fascist Italy, he dodged the draft in
order to avoid armed combat in a fight that tore his conflicting origins
apart, and co-operated with the British and American Intelligence. After
the war, he graduated in Medicine and is now practicing in Rome as a
psychiatrist and psychotherapist. While studying in Italy, Britain, the
United States and other countries, he contributed to various Italian and
foreign newspapers and magazines and became a member of the Italian
Professional Guild of Freelance Journalists. He was also English
language editor for the leading Italian News Agency (ANSA) and is
responsible for the translation into Italian of several books from
English and French.
Cesare D. is his pen name for most of his literary works in Italian and
English (novels, short stories, poetry and other writings).
