- What kind of rope should I use?

- How much rope do I need?
- That depends on what you intend to do.
It's common for people to have:
- two 12ft/3m pieces for tying limbs together
- two-four 25ft/8m pieces for tying limbs to bedposts and such
- at least one 50ft/15m piece for body harnesses
Generally, rope that is .25inches/6mill or less in diameter is good for tying wrists and ankles and rope of thicker diameter is good for body harnesses.
- Do I need any equipment for safety?

- Does rope bondage hurt?
- It's not suppose to. Bottoms may feel some skin pinching while ties are being applied. As with most physical activities, there is a chance of injury do to carelessness. Please see our do's and don'ts page for more information on playing safely.
