What kind of rope should I use?

How much rope do I need?
That depends on what you intend to do.

It's common for people to have:
  • two 12ft/3m pieces for tying limbs together
  • two-four 25ft/8m pieces for tying limbs to bedposts and such
  • at least one 50ft/15m piece for body harnesses
Generally, rope that is .25inches/6mill or less in diameter is good for tying wrists and ankles and rope of thicker diameter is good for body harnesses.

Does rope bondage hurt?
It's not suppose to. Bottoms may feel some skin pinching while ties are being applied. As with most physical activities, there is a chance of injury do to carelessness. Please see our do's and don'ts page for more information on playing safely.
