Contemplation

Sadness creeps its way into our lives everyday. Sometimes, depending on the person, it can be long lasting or gone in a matter of moments. The reasons for sadness to appear are vast. Having a bad day, breaking up a relationship, losing a job, or realizing that you will never see someone you loved again. If given the choice, would you choose to never have to be unhappy ever again? It feels like such a strange question, but it makes me realize how different the world would be if we never experienced sadness. Just try to picture the world and all its living creatures, unable to experience sorrow. Sadness reaches in and touches our hearts. If you see a child wrapped in a dirty wet blanket on the side of the street, you might experience yourself feeling someone else's sadness. This is sometimes when people experience a drive to try to erase this emotion not only from themselves, but from others around them. I have heard laughter is contagious, but I think that watching someone cry is almost just as catchy.

sad man

Sadness often shows through the eyes. Maybe that is the reason that sad people often direct their faces to the floor.
