About Me

Laura (aka cHOTTIE) was born on January the 29th, 1985. A traditional 80's child, she grew up playing Nintendo, making up stories and loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Throughout her first 8 years of life, she fell in love with many different men who she planned on marrying. These men include:

• Mario
• Weird Al Yankovic
• Michelangelo (turtle)
• Jim Carrey
• ...and probably many more

Sadly, none of these marriages ever came to be. Laura has lived in Surrey all her life, but in no way is she what some people call a "Surrey girl". She went to Lena Shaw Elementary and Guildford Park Secondary. She was a goody toe shoes who always did her homework and got straight A's. When she was in grade 7 (last year of elementary school) she started playing flute in the school band. Once she got to grade 8 she started playing guitar in her own time. Drums seemed to come naturally to her when she picked up her first pair of drum sticks when she was 14 for her high school stage band. Her whole life she had dreamed of being a singer/musician and her heart is filled with passion for music.

When she was 15 she got her first computer. It quickly became the center of her life. The first website she ever made was dedicated to Hanson and it was made with Homestead. Soon after that, a few people came into her life who taught her the ways of technology. She still practiced music, but it took a back seat to computers very quickly. At Guildford Park she took two programming classes, two computer graphics classes, and two 3d animation classes. She also participated in a computer graphics leadership class where she made many videos for school event parties and her graduation. Everything else that she knows she learned in her own time, glued to a computer screen and extremely grateful to be called a computer geek. Laura has made quite a few videos for people in the past three years for a profit. Crackass the Surrey movie was her most in depth project. She did the video capturing, editing, special effects, photo editing, DVD authoring and much more. A few of the things she does in her spare time.

She graduated from Guildford Park in 2003 and since then has worked at a few places. Her first job lasted a year at Score(Discount store for Athlete's World) and she worked 3 months at Athletes World. She then moved on and has been working at Starbucks as a barista for around 2 years. Over the past year she has been going to BCIT taking part time courses, trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. So far she has taken two photography courses, one games programming course and a web design class(the reason for this sites creation). At this moment in her life she is being coming more and more independent everyday. Laura is just beginning to become the woman she is destined to be. A pug worshipping, music loving, graphic artist/computer geek.
