This course uses a website that allows you to have your own personal web space that you can maintain for all of the courses you take in the Advanced Web Development certificate.

In order to set up your account, you will need to provide your myBCIT e-mail name.

How to find your myBCIT e-mail name

1. Log into myBCIT: http://my.bcit.ca
• Your username and password are the same as what you use to log into the lab computers at BCIT
  
2. Look for the My Inbox channel
3. On the top right, you will see an e-mail address
4. Everything to the left of the @ symbol is your e-mail name

Creating your SignalFlare account

1. Your instructor will access the new account form, which requires your myBCIT e-mail name
   
2. Select any username and password and enter it in the appropriate fields
• Hint: The username and password you use for myBCIT is a good idea
  
3. In the Directory field, you (or your instructor) will fill it in like the image below:
• Format: start with a slash, then the word students, another slash and your myBCIT e-mail name
